MAILING LIST SUBSCRIPTION BOX POP-UP FOR MUBI

After doing research on MUBI's existing design work, I decided to use shots from films that are in the MUBI catalogue in my pop-up design. The film I picked was Masculin Féminin (1996) directed by Jean-Luc Godard. I first specified which scenes I wanted to use, then I printed stills from the scenes and started animating on these prints.
I wanted to experiment with forms in the animation to reflect MUBI's special interest in experimental, avant-garde films. The main inspiration for my animation was the ending sequence of Irma Vep (1996) directed by Oliver Assayas. I am also inspired by existing video indents made for MUBI.
